4 Minute : What Happened

I learn what happens to K Pop group 4 Minute.

4 Minute : What Happened

Comments

4minute was the group that got me into Kpop instead of just solo artists like BoA. It's one of those things I'll never forget the moment -- like where I was, etc -- when they broke up. Originally, they couldn't stay together because all the girls said they'd stay -- and they kicked everyone out but Hyuna. So the other girls could've regrouped, but between all of them being veterans at this point and losing the biggest member ... they went their separate ways instead (some to music, some to acting, though I'm not sure about all 4 nowadays sadly.) 4minute albums are actually pretty much all EPs like Blackpink, so they're very short. I'd recommend their most recent one -- not only are the tracks pretty solid, but also the girls took part more in writing the lyrics and vocal parts. There's plenty of good solo tracks too -- Is It Poppin? (the one that got banned for saying "bring your big ass home right now") is an example of a poppy song with really sad lyrics underneath it. Anyways, thanks for checking them out. :)

Ok. That suck but it makes sense.

Agreed with StreetNoise, some times it's a copyright issue. The labels copyright the group name and all stage names so groups have to fight tooth and nail or pay money out the ass to keep it and sometimes it's not worth the trouble. It other cases it's hard for groups to find a new company that wants to take all of them in, so these days we're seeing after contract expiration all members going to different companies and fans hoping all the companies can work together to make the group come back.

That makes sense. They did that to prince back in the day and that’s his real name. He had to but it back. Is Psy doing business different with his label?

I don't know what the other girls are doing. Hopefully someone will know. I'm not sure which 4Minute album either but my favorite song & video is "Volume Up". There are some groups that leave their company & go somewhere else or start their own company like Shinhwa and Highlight (Cube didn't allow them to keep the name Beast) but it can be tough to do.
