Yeah, he avoided talking about his father much- he pretty much disappeared at some point. He mentions some childhood stories with him but after that it was just him, his mom, and sister. Jonghyun started taking care of them by himself really early on. He doted on them so much.

So each song in this album is actually a message. Jjong always has a message to share in his music. He always tell the truth in his songs. Thank you for this reaction. Please react to more of his stuff. Jjong has a vast variety of discography. I saw Dame already react to Jjongโs She is album. You should listen to that too.

The last lyric too.. like it was unfinished, like he didn't want to continue the sentence. He had always poured his whole heart to every song he writes. I hope spring has come for him.. wherever he may be ๐ธ

On this album: Waffle has my favorite lyrics followed by Sightseeing, and Grease. Only One You Need, Take the Dive, Sightseeing, and Just for a Day are my favorite songs to just listen to. Rewind is, sadly, the only Jonghyun song I ever skip and that hurts my soul. Still my favorite voice in Kpop. The man took risks and didn't let rankings or popularity effect what he wanted to make and share: "I want to write songs which contain my own feelings. And I want to pour myself into my music. I won't be swayed by music charts. It is a lie to say that I do not feel pressured at all. I think all the pop singers feel pressured to achieve a success. However, I don't think such a thought has an effect on my music. I just want to let people hear my songs. (2016)"

2019-09-17 17:45:59 +0000 UTCI think the album is a good picture of his mindset before his death. "Before Our Spring" feels like the final goodbye, especially since he killed himself in winter. At least he tells us in "Shinin" that he'll "always be with you". There's a music video for that song too, even though I've always thought there looks to be a deep sadness in his eyes. Even though the album was released after his death he made sure he had recorded everything & filmed the music video so he definitely wanted this stuff heard.
