January Poll Winner: SPEAR OF THE EMPEROR!

After a close-fought poll, Aaron Dembski-Bowden's Spear of the Emperor pulled ahead with 22 votes, so I guess that's what we're reading this month. We'll try and record at the end of the month, and we'll ask for questions then!

Despite the obviously heretical nature of it am also keen on read from a non-imperium perspective. I'd like to see some nominated for next month.

Would love to maybe see you both dip into some Xenos POV books?! There are some great Aeldari ones, and Ghazghkull and some *excellent* Necron books more recently. Could be fun for an outside perspective on the Imperium and to explore some of the more alien and diverse cultures!

Peter Hopkins

Reading it now!

Ok, I just bought the book. The first 40k book from the current timeline. Love your content, and trust your judgment, which I think has been good so far.

I've read it before, but it's really fun reading it again - I'd forgotten how grimdark it is, but also how much of it is character study rather than an action novel. Really fun.

Not a fan of Primaris fluff, but I trust your taste!

Cool, I just got the audiobook myself and will finish it up after I finish the 4th cain book, after the last book club I have been binging the cain series. thanks for exposing me to it.

I just started the audiobook and it is so different from any Abnett or Cain-series book. Truly grimdark. My first time reading a non-HH space marine book. Not sure what to expect, and looking forward to the book club video already.

Ah brill - I'm Audible listening to this now and it's really good.. excited to hear your take on it and how it fits in with the idea you had on a split Imperium on twitter the other day.

Ian Dodds

Awesome! Hopefully I'll have time to read it before the video.
