The Heresy has begun! Plans!
Added 2022-07-01 21:50:26 +0000 UTCHi everyone! So, we've started out heresy Tale of Four Gamers and we'd love to build it into a little community project.
So, if anyone else wants to join in, were planning on recording in the last week of every month and before we do so, I'll ask for submissions. Send in photos (possibly to a dedicated email) and post updates and we'll feature them all on the monthly update.
And we'll all have an army by Christmas!

Full beakpower! For Dorn :D Just need to find a few nice female heads to trigger some gatekeepers :) Also ordered the Brethren upgrade set from FW.

Started with a bunch of kit-bashing - made a Praetor so far, and am working on a pack of Grey Slayers, using axes and shields mainly from Chaos Gors. I feel like I should build these as a squad of twenty. Kind of love the idea of a huge unit of armoured spacemen using early medieval weapons!

2022-07-04 20:27:03 +0000 UTCI'm in though I'll be aiming for more like 1000pts by Christmas, and if I manage that it'll still be the single biggest painting project I've ever managed, in a year when my first child was born so we'll see. Currently working on the 40 tactical marines from the box for my sons of horus (I'm still cleaning up the parts, almost at the point I can start assembling though, maybe by the weekend!). Have you considered setting up a discord for it?

Currently kitbashing the legion praetor to look the part. Hopefully he'll be done by the end of the week and I'll stick him up on insta.

2022-07-02 20:02:51 +0000 UTCVery much up for this. My own end goal is a Shattered Legions force, just because of the scope of stuff I could do. As their rules aren't out yet I'm starting out as an Iron Hands force, and whilst I bought the new HH box set, I've actually started building and painting my Mk III boys out of my 'Burning of Prospero' box (that sat on a shelf too long!) as the Armorum Ferrum really suits the Iron Hands boys. The Tale of Four Heresy Gamers' should help to speed me up a little - I enjoy pushing my painting on each mini I do (not that I'm great or anything, but I am improving) - but it does mean I'm REALLY slow at getting a force on the table. The Zone Mortalis possibility sounds like a good opportunity too. Great stuff! Thank you ArbitorIan - always liked your stuff but this idea pushed me to sign up!
