So sad I missed this I had a question I’d been waiting until Ian and Mira did The First Heretic Episode to ask. On the off chance this comment is seen my question is relevant to any of the heresy books so here it is: Related to some revelations pertaining to the great plan concocted by the chaos gods that we learn of in First Heretic, do our hosts think that the Heresy and it’s effect on the future imperium and the galaxy as a whole would have happened in the way that it did without Horus? I.e. who do you think would have been the big 4’s second choice? Would the emperor have been (semi) defeated and would chaos have gained the same foothold amongst humanity post Heresy? Would love to hear both of your perspectives on this coming from your differing familiarity of the lore. I am fairly familiar with the lore but am currently reading the Heresy books for the first time and I’m on book 20. Sorry for the essay!

Did either of you find it weird that they subtitled it “A Celestian Sacresant Aveline Novel” for a character that was created for this book? Did either of you like Aveline as a character, or is she the biggest bastard in the book?

I am interested in what you both think about the comparison between the way Horus, Lorgar, Fulgrum, and their respective sons' fall to chaos. Which is the most believable? Which is the most tragic? Which is the most fun to read about? Love you guys, keep up the good work

Given recent real world events, I've been thinking about this story through the lens of political radicalisation and it makes me wonder whether this was always the end result of his ideological exploration or if he would've settled on something less extreme if Kor Phaeron and Erebus hadn't manipulated him one way or the other. Looking forward to the video!
