2025-01-31 20:56:54 +0000 UTCFantastic episode guys. On the topic of who the first heretic actually is, I always interpreted it as ADB saying it’s The Emperor for making the deal with the Chaos Gods but the ambiguity is the brilliance of the title I think!

I think Guilliman being an arse in this book is because Lorgar gets beat up by him. While in the unremebered empire, a Guilliman centric book, he’s a much more sympathetic character.

I particularly liked the point around Lorgar kids himself into thinking he wants the truth, when really he wants purpose and meaning (and for him that has to be religious in nature) Excellent work guys. I'm excited for Betrayer, because in many ways it's a continuation of this story. (And having just read Master of Mankind I'm very excited to see Mira's thoughts on that one too when you eventually get there!)
