Totally agree. Derivative characters need their own Rogues Galleries - not just their mentor's.
2018-07-19 23:01:32 +0000 UTCI kind of think most spin off characters suffer from that. If you make a super girl or Spider Kid they have to fight the villains that their based on fights. Which is a major detraction for me. One they did well was Nightwing in his own series they really tries (to some success and others not so much) give him his own rogues gallery and not rely on Batman's connection.

I’m cautiously optimistic about Red Daughter Supergirl because I love the Red Sun arc so much but I do agree that we’ve yet to really truly get a Supergirl villain done right and Kara has yet to be truly heroic. I almost wonder if Red Daughter Supergirl is going to be written a little bit like Powergirl since she’s yet to be seen on the show. I think the announcement of Agent Liberty adds a lot of intrigue to season 4. I want Sterling Gates to come and write for the show, get some of his amazing stories that made Supergirl great again into the show but I don’t know if he would want to do it. As for ideas what do you guys think about the idea of on The Flash Nora’s big mistake being that her messing with the timeline led to Cobalt Blue maybe even her brother Don does exist on the show and he’s him? I know that it would be a big change from the comics but I just love his character so much and I want to see him on the show in the worst way and it seems like this is maybe a way that it could happen for like the second half of Season 5.
