An excellent scene! Doom Patrol definitely does not get enough credit for how good it is.
2021-01-04 22:40:52 +0000 UTCMy favorite tv scene from 2020 is from Doom Patrol season 2, episode 3: Pain Patrol. It takes place at the end of the episode where Larry and Rita are outside of the latter’s room. Larry has just about given up on himself and states that he is a lost cause, to which Rita states that she thought she was too until she met Larry before kissing him on the cheek and saying “Lost causes aren’t lost if there’s someone to fight for them.” As Larry starts to walk away, he immediately walks back and tearfully hugs Rita. It is a beautiful scene and one of the best moments that I have ever seen from a comic book show. I came into Doom Patrol with no expectations and it has now become one of my favorite shows ever made.
