DESCRIPTION

Welcome to "A Pair of Black Antlers," an enchanting tavern nestled in the heart of Elturel's bustling northern Dock District. Here, beneath the glow of blue driftglobes and amidst the wood-paneled walls and smoky air, lies a haven for adventurers and storytellers alike.

As you step through its low doorway, you are immediately embraced by the close, maze-like ambiance of its multi-level taproom. The air, thick with the tales of old and the laughter of the hearty, carries the scent of spiced ale and the smoky whispers of a fireplace struggling against the chill. The tavern is a trove of curiosities; its nooks crammed with relics of daring exploits—old, well-used weaponry, shields split from battle, and the eerie remnants of monstrous foes staring down from shadowed corners.

Most striking of all is the grand rack of stag's antlers, sprawling some 20 feet across the wall above the bar. A symbol of the tavern's name and a testament to the wild spirit it embodies, these antlers have seen countless patrons rise to measure their span, including the famed traveler Volo, who once stood atop the bar in awe.

"The Antlers" is more than just a place to quench your thirst. It is a crossroads of fates and fortunes, where adventurers gather to exchange rumors of hidden dungeons and lost treasures. By night, the tavern comes alive with the sounds of mugs clashing and the haunting melodies of "The Knights of Dragon Down," a bard's ballad sung with a reverence that fills the smoky air with a palpable sense of camaraderie and loss.

Here, within the storied walls of "The Antlers", every corner and shadow tells a story, every face has a tale to tell. It's a place where legends come to life, where the past mingles with the present, and where every adventurer, regardless of their quest, can find a moment of respite and a sense of belonging among the echoes of a thousand journeys. Welcome to the heart of adventure, welcome to "A Pair of Black Antlers."

GUTTERFIST

• Gutterfists are hard-boiled brawlers, back alley thugs, prizefighters, or gentlemen pugilists. They hold their ground against better-armored foes with nothing but rock-hard abs, moxie, and their bare hands. Eventually, even veteran warriors might find themselves outmaneuvered and pinned to the ground as a hail of fists dents their priceless armor, all while the Gutterfist spouts filthy limericks concerning the promiscuous nature of their opponents’ mothers.
