A Quick Recovery, Future Plans, and Your Map Suggestions

First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Your enthusiasm and commitment are what drive Beneos forward, and I’m truly grateful for it.

As some of you may have noticed, the upcoming release is running a little behind schedule. Unfortunately, I’ve been down with COVID and have been resting in bed these past few days. But rest assured, I’m on the mend and, between spoonfuls of soup and the loving care of my wife, I’ve been using this time to reflect on our future releases. The delayed release should be out in the coming days, and I appreciate your understanding and patience.

I will also release another map shortly after the next release—one that has been frequently requested: the Black Carriage scene from Curse of Strahd, where the players are taken up to the castle. I already have some cool ideas for it and I’m excited to fulfill this request for you."

In the meantime, I’m excited to share that we’ve been working on several exciting collaborations, one of which is with Tales off the Script, a German stream featuring professional voice actors and a talented cast playing Pathfinder 2. It’s been incredible to see them use Beneos Battlemaps in their games! From our conversations with them, we’ve identified a few areas and settings that we haven’t yet created animated maps for—so those are on the horizon!

That brings me to a request for all of you. As I continue my recovery, I’d love to hear from the community about the types of maps you find yourself needing most often. These could be versatile, go-to maps that you use repeatedly in your sessions—like caves, bandit camps, or other commonly used settings. I’m thinking of creating Single-Map Releases to fill in the gaps when there’s a bit of extra time at the end of the month but not quite enough to release a full set.

Let me know what you’d like to see! Your input is invaluable, and I’m excited to hear your suggestions.

Thanks again for being the amazing community you are, and I look forward to delivering more exciting content soon!

AT ALL: Like the comments if you want to see those maps as well. That way, I’ll know what the majority is wishing for. Or feel free to write a new suggestion.

Warmest regards,
Ben

Personally, I haven't been able to find a small, walled in hamlet that has been attacked with some buildings on fire and the village ransacked. Been trying to get around to making one, but an animated version would be the cat's meow.

I particularly enjoy and use your animated scenes, namely the jungle series. Having more biomes given that treatment would be amazing!

I am currently running DiA for my table and they love your maps, I have used your CoS and Modular maps for random encounters and home brewed parts of the campaign. I will move soon to Avernus and leave Baldur's Gate behind, but I would like to see more maps for DiA and BG, the city of BG it is now such a popular city that I can see people wanting to revisit it for years to come but it can also serve as generic city setting. Since we are mentioning DiA, you already have one or two library location maps but there is one I would love to see implemented by you: Candlekeep. I hope you are now feeling better!

I am running COS and I love the description videos of each town with the voice over! My players are really enjoying them! Would love to have more of those soon!
