As you make your way through the dimly lit streets of Baldur's Gate, the scent of brine and the distant sound of creaking wood guide you toward the docks. There, anchored to the wharf, is the Low Lantern Tavern—a weathered, three-masted ship that has long been repurposed as a tavern. The soft glow of lanterns casts flickering reflections on the murky waters, and the muffled hum of conversation drifts through the air.

Stepping onto the gangplank, you feel the gentle sway of the vessel beneath your feet. Inside, the tavern is a maze of low ceilings and wooden beams, where sailors, dockworkers, and shadowy figures gather. The air is thick with the aroma of ale and sea salt, mingling with the occasional whiff of fried fish. Candlelit tables are scattered throughout, creating pools of light in the otherwise shadowy interior.

A sense of age and mystery permeates the tavern, with nautical relics and faded maps adorning the walls. The Low Lantern is a place where secrets are traded as freely as drinks, and every corner seems to hold a whispered tale or a hidden motive. As you find a seat and order a drink, you can't shake the feeling that this tavern, like the city itself, has many layers—each one darker and more intriguing than the last.
