My second attempt with the POSCA pens! Having a limited palette really is actually fun, honestly. It's leading to some really vibrant and fun pieces!🧡ðŸ†ðŸ§¡
This was done on a piece of craft wood and is pretty small.vits approximately 4"x4" big.
I couldn't blend the pens at all with my previous pic, the one of Juniper because the paper started deteriorating from the abrasiveness of the pen nibs so I took the chance to try out blending with this since the wood is sturdy and strong.
However, I don't think this is the ideal surface for these pens for me! I did a small sample line on the wood just alone and the wet paint soaked right into the wood, feathering a bit with the grain and spreaded a bit. This was not the look I wanted to go for, so I elected to prime the wood with a white acrylic paint to seal it a bit. This provided a better surface but ended up leading me to believe what I'm searching for with this medium can likely be achieved with canvas board. So, that'll be the next attempt!!
Here are some WiPs of the cheetah!
