Project Plan September
Added 2024-09-02 15:38:32 +0000 UTCIn the last dev week of August we started on the development of Chapter 3-C and that's right where we will be picking up. Whereas previous months all focused on clearing out milestones and reaching the corruption ending, we are now back to build up work, this time for the good ending.
Week 1: I have been doing some reviewing, bugfixing and applying improvements to the first iteration on the game design for Clockwork Forest our assistant developer Trihan provided at the end of last week's dev cycle and otherwise have been prepping some briefs for our freelancers. Beyond that my goal for this week is to start with the conceptualization and implementation of the quest for the last Demon General.
Week 2: And then in week 2 I will be mostly working on his dungeon. Not sure yet how far I will get, especially as some decisions that you can make in the dungeon will have a major impact on some NPCs - to the point of killng them. For example, Hermann's life will be in peril. Will need to figure out how much work the out-of-dungeon effects will be.
Week 3: FInally we can resume progress on the Final Dungeon! The next level will be Belphegor's. The dungeon itself will probably be themed out negate status effects. The most importan tone being the sloth signature status status effect Drowsy, but poison will probably also play a final, major role here.
Week 4: My main objective for the last week will be to progress on the remaining missing skills, focusing here on skills that will be obtainable at Main Cathedral. Then I finally want to cross off that stupid work item for giving the Entertainment Mage additional contracts based on forcing Aura into accepting outstanding corrupt decisions by wealthy individuals. E.g. Marrying Hermann, accepting Francois' offer, selling out Paulina/Charlotte, etc.
Whatever is left in time will either go into doing some general polish work on the game or supporting Trihan at Clockwork Forest.
That's my plan for the month. As for our freelancers:
Pixel Artist
I will start with pixel art as I recently made a poll for that one listing the different directions available to us. On the negative side, since the epilogue finished we had a massive concellation wave that's brought us right at the line for this goal. Should it continue we might have to postpone the work into the future.
RPGMaker Developer
Trihan will be continuing his work on Clockwork Forest. In addition to that, I also plan to use the General Assets Budget on Trihan this month so that we can make some progress on the non-content technial work again. Primarily the UI/UX Iteration for which our UI Artist already created all the assets just waiting to be implemented in the game.
2D Art
No changes in plans here. Emubi has returned from his recent 2 weeks leave and just before the 0.46.0 release I prepared and discussed with him the Charlotte 2+3 H-CG. Sketching work should be in progress right now so perhaps I can post more progress on this before the week is over.
