I'd chime in to say that Death House, as written, is trying to trick people into thinking the Durst's are alive, and that this illusion doesn't really break until the third floor.

Dont forget that ground and first floor actually are impecable clean. But you are right - none of the lights/fireplaces are lit. I dont like dark maps, but toned down is good. Dark maps are just dark to the players, making the map hard to play on.

Dear Ben: Thank you for your rapid response! Ah - okay - yes - it sounds like a lot of work indeed! It would be amazing if you were able to do that, but you must be very busy indeed. Thank you for your reply and for your amazing work and Merry Christmas! :-) Respectfully, Eric

Hi Eric, thank you for your kind words =) That is absolutly possible but not as easy and fast as you might think. The rendering alone with all the sceneries are a multi hour job due to the quality and resolution. Then i need to edit assets and materials (textures) to fit the darker mood. The lighting at the end is the smallest task but also time consuming. So all the other Patreons who are waiting for the newest maps because their groups are keeping up with my releases would "only" get an update for a map they already have (sort of). BUT: When i have the next map ready in a couple of days i can try to find some spare time until the end of the year to make this updates. I wont promise anything but i try to do that. That is the best i can commit to =) Best regards Ben

Beneos: Your work is quite brilliant, but I have a huge favor to ask, if possible...... I 'm really trying to build a sinister, brooding, dark mood and the Death House is clean, brightly-lit and cheery, as if servants are regularly sweeping, dusting and lighting all the candles and fireplaces. Is there ANY CHANCE you could do an edit on Death House to make it darker, with the fires not lit, and dusty/refuse and broken furniture? I want it to look like no living people have dared to enter it for years.....

amazing as allways

Thank you as always for the constructive Feedback =) The Chase Map is a bonus i added because I needed it for my table =) I guess it is only really good usable in FoundryVTT. Thank you and merry/happy christmas

Thank you for another awesome CoS pack, that is also very useful in any other campaign with a dark forest =) I would like to make 2 small comments. Everything is brilliant except: 1. The plain camp fire, is "too much" in map view. The other one is better. 2. Chase maps are tricky, because they easily give the players viewing the map nausea, like movement sickness in VR. I have several chase maps, and those that work best, move a bit slower, and only straight. Now while your chase map, is by far the best looking and most detailed and varied on the market, you make it very hard to actually use for gameplay. I have not tested with a grid, and minis on the TV yet, but I expect, that with the turns, it is impossible to use, since a miniature wagon and figurines will stand still, and look awkward with the moving map. It will work much better, with a straight road, and a little slower pace. Just my experience. - But its 1 map out of? 10 great ones. Love the rest! Have a great christmas!

Jesper
