Fever Dream Update: Operation Snowball

So up until now I've largely neglected my patreon (and by extension my patrons, sorry) and while I never really planned on being active here I still find myself humbled that so many of you have continued to support me despite my lack of main channel uploads over the last 2 years.  While I won't be making any grandiose promises to update this page on a regular basis, I figured I'd at least provide a decent update as to what's going on with my channel for those curious.

-Hong Kong Chronicles: Definitely the thing I am asked the most about, very understandably. As most of you have probably seen in this video: https://youtu.be/6uQqVhl9V4U    I am absolutely still working on the HKC and it is a big priority of mine to see its completion. As is probably obvious, I've struggled a lot with the production. This is due to many variables but particularly the amount I've had to learn (and unlearn) to give an accurate account of the situation. While I am confident that the ends will justify the means, I want to make it clear that from this point on all of my patreon earnings will not be going directly into the HKC. Most of the hard costs have been funded thanks to your contributions over the last two years and for that I am insanely grateful. The rest is up to me to complete :] Considering that I do not have a release date for the series I do not want to drag out monetary support and expectation from those who only decided to financially support me for the Hong Kong videos, so if that was your main reason for supporting me I completely understand if you discontinue your support. I'm hoping the end result will be worth all the wait ^_^

-Fever Dream: I have decided to upload less high-pressure videos to the main channel, this was done somewhat out of necessity as I didn't realise how much of my creativity comes from being able to experiment with lower stakes videos. I'm still trying my best to ensure the videos are worth watching and it feels great to have incentive to record new content (The vast majority of HKC's content was recorded in 2019/2020) This filler series will involve non-stop experimentation as I'm truly using it as a way to evolve my abilities and hopefully have some fun :] 

-Fever Stream: Every Friday night at around 9pm EST I will be hosting a stream on my main channel. I started doing it to spice things up (it can be very depressing editing videos sometimes bahaha) but it's now snowballing into a fun routine which I think is worth maintaining. While streaming is my lowest priority at the moment, I still think the 2 hour sessions are worth watching live as I lean very heavily on audience participation. 

-Gokanaru Clips: If you're not into streams but still want a taste of what they're like, I've been uploading random clips from streams on this youtube channel (yes the one from my last h3 video lmao) I'm trying to have an upload there every day since it's pretty easy to maintain and contributes to having a routine. For anyone who misses the streams I've started a VOD channel (though I may make VODS a patreon exclusive, not sure yet) so yeah, don't stress if you miss a stream.

-Patreon Posting: I'm probably going to be experimenting with uploading some patron-exclusive content. I'm not huge on the idea of paywalls but I think it's worth playing around with at least uploading funny bloopers or sneak peeks here when it's convenient (I have a lot of funny scraps left over after Fever Dream videos because I usually cut down hours of content into 20min so yeah this might be interesting to those of you with a similar sense of humour to me. 

-Discord Plans: When I have some free time I'm going to be drastically updating my discord (right now I am completely uninvolved there, the mods have pretty much free reign). So yeah join that for updates and extra involvement in future streams, or don't, it's a mess in there.

TLDR;

The overall goal of operation Snowball is to build a big snowman with a nice wide smile (become less of a ghost and develop systems for myself to ensure I don't fall off the face of the Earth for multiple years again... oh yeah and make some dope fucking content ofc ily mwah).
