Chapter 2 – So This is Miyabi’s Room

Part 1

This was Miyabi, so perhaps she was late? That was what I thought but, she didn’t come even when the second period arrived.

I got worried and sent a message to Lizel-senpai and,

「When I checked with the teacher, apparently there was a message from Miyabi that she is taking a day off.」

That was what I heard from senpai. I felt relieved. I concluded that  if she was also taking a day off tomorrow, then I would go check on her.

The schedule after school today was training with Miyabi, but this caused Lizel-senpai to take over the training in a hurry.

When I was waiting at the gym’s entrance,

「Have I made you waited long?」

「No, I only arrived just now.」

I actually had waited here around ten minutes, but I couldn’t mention  that even though I was the one troubling Lizel-senpai for training.

I followed Lizel-senpai into the gym. We had reserved it, so there was no one inside.

There was the sound of the door getting locked behind me.

Lizel-senpai was locking the entrance.

And then she pulled down the curtain hanging in front of the door.  With this no one could peek inside from the glass on the door.

「Then, I’ll make the preparation, so Yuuto, can you close the other curtains too?」

「Y-yes. Understood.」

After telling me that, senpai vanished into the changing room while carrying a bag.

……Changing room?

I went around closing the curtains while feeling somewhat bothered.

But, what was it?

Until now we never did anything like locking the door or blocking the window.

It felt like this would be some kind of secret training……something  troubling if it was seen by someone else……alone with only  Lizel-senpai…….

My imagination unconsciously went wild with various possibilities.

No no, calm down! There was no way it would be anything like that right!?

Surely it would be something, a secret training that other devil king  candidates mustn’t know about.  Obviously it would be something like  that……but, with my current level, was there really anything like that?

The silence of a gym where there wasn’t anyone else.

*Shiin* It felt like he could hear such sound of silence. *Gulp* The sound of his throat sounded really loud.

The door of the changing room opened.

「Li-Lizel-senpai. Just like you told me, I closed the window curtai──!?」

My breath was caught in my throat when I saw the figure that appeared.

Lizel-senpai appeared wearing an elastic leotard that fit her body tightly.

Even though she would dress like usual even during the training……what was with this!?

However the chest part was opened with some part made from  transparent material. It was more of an underwear rather than an  exercise clothes. Or perhaps it was a costume.

「It’s okay. After all I prepared it for Yuuto to see.」

If she said that, I could appreciate Lizel-senpai’s beauty without any reservation.

It was a magic that I could use exactly because I was human.

……That was what Lizel-senpai taught me after the battle against Aspite.

「Of course even a basic attack magic will become exceptionally  powerful if the mana’s quality and amount are increased. But, there is  limit to that. No matter how much you power up Figa or Fizard, they  won’t be able to put up a fight before a unique magic like Aspite’s  World Revision.」

「Right. But, that magic was effective because the opponent was  Aspite, but it doesn’t guarantee that it’ll work against other opponent.  How many powerful magic at that level can you learn……that’ll be the  key.」

「I see……in that case, do I need to learn something like other unresolved magic formula?」

「That’s one possible method. But there isn’t any other unresolved  magic formula that is publicized. First we will have to start with  gathering information about formula that seems obtainable if we’re going  that way.」

「It feels like it will take long doing that……」

「Yes. But there is also other method.」

「Eh!? What is that method?」

Lizel-senpai folded her arms and smiled.

「it’s still too fast to think about it. Before that you have to be able to use all the ordinary advanced magic.」

「Uu……certainly.」

A part of me wished that she would just teach me that method without  putting up air, but it was also a fact that my strength was the more  pressing problem. What Lizel-senpai said was correct, so I couldn’t say  anything back.

I used it against Aspite without knowing anything……thank god I survived.

Like this, I started training earnestly by repeating magic of flame type, ice type, explosion type, and lightning type.

「This is……harsh」

I was destroying the dummy monster that appeared one after another in the gym.

Right now I was inside Miyabi’s room.

I stood up from the bed as though there was fire lit under me.

「Miyabi! There’s enemy approaching!!」

Miyabi also stood up with a grave expression.

「Don’t tell me……is it Ibiza!?」

Miyabi rushed out from the room toward the entrance.

I followed right behind her and got out of the house.

「!?」

At the other side of the garden, there were three silhouettes at the gate that was almost off its hinge.

「Ee, they’re really living in this kind of place? Unbelievable.」

「They’ve really fallen into ruin. It makes me hate myself when I thought that we were bowing toward this lot.」

These people, they were the nobles who were Miyabi’s subordinates. Rebecca and Maki if I remembered right. And then──,

「Weeei! Tonight’s the best night isn’t it!」

「Oh? What what, the Lovers’ candidate is also here!? What a coincidence!」

Miyabi glared at the three.

「You three, what’re you doing here!?」

「Of course, we’re here to pick up Miyabi-chan.」

Ibiza looked up at the luxurious mansion of Yuugaoze House next door──the mansion that belonged to him now.

I formed a magic formula.

The situation was reversed in the blink of eye. Maki and Rebecca were pushed back.
