Today was New Year’s Day. Which meant January.

Usually I would watch the New Year’s special show in TV while eating  New Year food slovenly together with my slovenly parents. That was my  typical New Year habit, but this year was different.

The reason was because now I had my cards, my retainers.

And so, I came to the academy even though it was New Year. Of course  it wasn’t for classes or the like, instead I was heading full speed  toward the palace of the Lovers, the waiting room for the devil king  candidate.

I opened the door thinking that there wouldn’t be anyone inside, but I was surprised seeing the transformed interior.

The usual lounge suit was removed. In exchange tatami mats were  placed on the floor and three alluring figures were sitting on there.

The pretty Onee-sama with black hair among those three bowed her head gracefully.

「Happy New Year. Yuuto, much obliged for everything last year. Please take care of me this year too.」

「N-no, if Lizel-senpai greet me that courteously……I-I should be the  one saying that. Please take care of me too this year……I beg you, ah!  Happy New Year.」

I involuntarily spoke incoherently. Lizel-senpai chuckled seeing me like that.

Her fascinatingly elegant appearance was dazzling. Her kimono had  flower pattern with white and blue as the base. She looked luxurious and  gorgeous like a princess from Edo period.

「I’m just saying the standard platitude, so don’t mind it. Also this  isn’t a formal event, so you can just give a normal greeting.」

「That’s right-! And so, happy New Year~!!」

The one who greeted in high tension while waving around the sleeves of her pink furisodelong-sleeved kimono was of course Yuugaoze Miyabi. She was wearing white fur muffler around her neck.

「You should calm down a bit more instead. You have expressly dressed  formally like that, so you should strive to maintain the elegant  atmosphere. You’re failing to live up to your status like this.」

Miyabi pouted. Beside her was an adorable figure sitting while looking small and quiet.

「Fighto! Show us your training’s result!」

Cheered by her seniors, Reina was turning even redder like a boiled octopus.

「R, R-R-R-Reinha, will do her besht!!」

She bit her tongue, and then she threw everything to the wind.

It felt like the speech she had practiced wouldn’t come out and so  she just did her best speaking. The way she bowed her head so deeply  only looked like someone doing dogeza.

「Me too, I’ve been in your care. Reina had saved many times last  years. Thank you very much. I’m going to rely on you this year too.」

I patted her silver hair. Reina’s face loosened in happiness from that.

「Also, I’ll prepare sweet sake for Reina.」

A teacup filled with cloudy liquid that let out steam was handed to Reina. I myself received a sake cup.

Lizel-senpai was the one who poured the drink into my cup. I  gratefully accepted the drink. A sweet aroma drifted from the clear  liquid.

「This looks like sake but……this is not actually sake?」

「Yes, I heard that this drink doesn’t contain alcohol at all and  served in celebration events. Although this is also my first time  drinking this.」

「Hee……it’s quite novel isn’t it?」

After everyone received their drink, Lizel-senpai said 「Itadakimasu」 and I drank the beverage.

The sweet fragrance blew through inside my body. It was refreshing  despite the sweetness. It gave me an invigorating feeling. And then I  felt a heat blooming inside my body. It was gradually spreading through  my body.

And then, eh……? This, could it be, I was drunk?

But, it wasn’t……alcohol right?

Lizel-senpai leaned coquettishly against me. Her hand was holding the  drink’s bottle. She was wordlessly urging me to hold out my cup.

Senpai poured the drink into my cup till the brim.

「Now, drink it all in one gulp.」

「R-right.」

She was drunk. Senpai was drunk.

There was no alcohol in the drink, but perhaps it had something similar or something even worse in it?

The front of her kimono was opened and her relaxing legs could be  seen. I averted my gaze from there and gulped down the drink in my cup  in one go.

「A」

I drank too much in one sitting and the drink spilled from the corner of my lips.

Senpai’s face approached closer with her tongue stretching out.

「Se-senpai!?」

Senpai licked the place near my mouth with her tongue. That soft and  gentle texture sent shivers through my back with its indescribable  sensation that was like mollusk.

She loosely bent her body and laughed in amusement. No, she was already drunk completely.

Though I said that, my head was also feeling dizzy. Uu……as expected the second cup seemed to be working.
