Prologue

Excerpt from 『Devil king』, the written work of Alberto Ligano(アルベルト・リガノ), a mage from 19th century Italia.

……I wish to confer the title of 『Campione』 to them who accomplish this fearsome and grand feat.

Perhaps some among you readers will frown thinking that this title is  too exaggerated. Or perhaps, there are also those who will regard my  record as exaggeration.

But, I have to stress this once more.

Campione is a supreme ruler.

Because they slaughter the gods from heavens and plunder the supreme power that make a god as a god they are.

Campione is a king.

They wield the authority that they usurped from god and no one on earth can’t possibly control them no matter who they are.

Campione is a devil king.

Because all humans who live on earth are unable to possess a strength that can possibly contend with them!

As previously mentioned, the godslayer Kusanagi Godou who was born at Universe 235 is an extremely peculiar existence.

Of course, there is not a single godslayer who isn’t peculiar.

Those who murder gods and plunder their divine authority are all  extraordinary existence. Just a single one of them is powerful person  who can decide the life and death of a world.

But, even then I still stand by what I said.

Kusanagi Godou is extremely peculiar even among that dangerous race.

Because he murdered a god of destiny and plundered the 《Authority of Anti-Fate》.

Because he is also a 《Planewalker》 who understand the underlying  principle of the multiverse to some degree and move around between many  universes skillfully.

And then, there is his most striking disposition.

He never give in against any kind of authority, he push on through  his own path, and furthermore, he won’t even hesitate to form bond of  friendship with the gods who should be his mortal enemy──he is a  godslayer who cross over between worlds freely and easily which is a  rarity even in the multiverse.

In all the lands he visited, trouble and chaos will rise…….

The unprecedented danger that is currently attacking the countless  space-time continuums in this boundless multiverse……this calamity occur  all because of my existence.

The power to open the fairy corridor to travel to another world. This is one of my authorities.

The rampage of that power drill open 『holes』 here and there in the  multiverse. It caused the order and stability of the whole universe to  break down.

For the world, my existence is already nothing more than a harmful substance.

Kusanagi Godou──my long time sworn friend, I wish that at least it will be by your hand that anything further than this……

In the multiverse that contain more than 3000 worlds, our world  『Universe 966』 is nothing more than one of the many space-time  continuums.

And then, each of them played an important role in the 『Hero Great War』 that broke out in the mythology world Hyperborea.

At that time, there were many Campiones and former inhabitants of earth who gathered in Hyperborea.

The Wolf King Voban, the Magical Sect Founder Luo Cuilian, the Black  Prince Alec, the King of Sword, the Thousand Dragons King, the Imperial  Prince of Where the Sun Rise, the Divine King Theodoric, etc──

They are people who established the 『Forbidden Realms』.
