Chapter 18: Evol Orc’s Power

I ran toward the path of the giant larva.

……The appearance it had gave the impression of heavy and slow body, but due to its outrageous size, every single step it took traveled through a very wide distance. Its moving speed was fast.

The only possibility to win against that only existed right now in a very small chance.

If that thing ate the world tree, it would obtain the world tree’s power.

If that happened, it would become even stronger and got even closer to immortality.

And then with the power it obtained, that thing would surely devour the whole world.

「If you all won’t run away, then that means I have to do something about that thing because I don’t want to let you all die.」

I accelerated to reach a speed that Tita couldn’t keep up with and made a distance from her.

I only left those words behind and sped up even more.

I’m scared.

But, not using it and just watching Tita got killed without being able to do anything was scarier.

I stood in front of it.

I collided with the world tree devouring demon bug that was the size of a small mountain from head on with both my hands.

I was being pushed back while leaving a track on the ground.

The bug’s mucus rained down, but my wind armor blew them away so I didn’t get melted.

「UOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!」

I wrung out everything that I had.

More, more power.

My mana, ki, muscles, the Spirit King’s power.

My body screamed from the burden beyond the limit that I placed on it.

I could hear the sound of muscles tearing apart. Even my bones were creaking.

It was worth it. The world tree devouring demon bug’s speed was decreasing.

And then it finally stopped.

Shockingly the young man managed to stop the world tree devouring demon bug. However he was eaten without even any time to praise his feat.

The elf girl, Tita screamed.

The elves at the surrounding couldn’t say anything to her seeing that.

The leader of the male folks shouted his encouragement.

The arrows and magic of the elves were like a breeze for the demon bug.

Everyone fell into despair.

Suddenly the world tree devouring demon bug stopped moving forward.

「PIGYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUI, PIGYU, PIGYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU」

It screamed.

The world tree devouring demon bug that couldn’t be injured except by that young man named Ork was screaming and writhing.

And then its flabby body changed shape. It stretched as though something was pushing out from the inside. Each time the demon bug would scream.

Then finally a giant hand burst out from the inside.

Hard muscles that were like boulders, burly arm with deep green skin.

Then one more arm burst out. With those arms, the owner crawled out from the flesh of the demon bug.

It was covered with the mucus of the world tree devouring demon bug, but it wasn’t bothered at all by that. The being beaten terror into anyone who saw it.

「What, is that?」

Someone let out a fearful voice.

The deep green demon came out from the stomach of the demon bug. Then it suddenly kicked it flying.

The bug that was the size of a small mountain floated in the air. It was a terribly surreal sight.

That meant that the green demon also had the size that enabled it to do something like that.

The demon bug that had its back torn apart from the inside was lying down with fluid flowing out from its body. The green demon mounted it and continued to beat it up.

*Twitch twitch*, the world tree devouring demon bug was starting to convulse.

「PIGYA, PIGYAA, PIGYAAAA」

It had powerful regeneration ability but it couldn’t catch up at all with the damage that was inflicted to it.

The green demon tore off the insect’s limbs, ripped its throat, and gouged its eyes.

This wasn’t even a battle anymore.

The world tree devouring demon bug that was such an overwhelming monster was being trampled one-sidedly.

「PIGYUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA」

The scream became a death throe.

Impossibly, the world tree devouring demon bug that everyone had given up on defeating was crushed by a violence that was even more unreasonable than it.

The demon stood up and stamped down on the demon bug.

「UGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA」

It shouted.

Even though the green demon had saved them, most of the elves fell down in fear and peed themselves.

They didn’t think that they had been saved at all. They only saw that a monster even worse than the world tree devouring demon bug had appeared.

That was what they thought.

Hot, hot, hot, hot.

It was so hot that my head felt like it was turning extremely twisted.

My vision was dyed crimson.

Everything around me looked red.

It was annoying. Everything was annoying.

Vanish, vanish, vanish. If you wouldn’t vanish from my sight, I would erase you.

Die, be crushed, break.

I wanted to rampage.

If I didn’t do that it felt like heat would gather in my body and I would die.

That was why, I let out the heat with anger and violence filling it.

That was something that looked just right nearby. It was a big and fragile looking toy.

I would be able to play for a while with something like that.

Even though that was what I thought, it broke in the blink of eye and stopped moving.

「UGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA」

I shouted.

I wanted more toy.

I needed something to vent out this heat.

Wasn’t there anything like that somewhere?

There was.

It was a big tree. I felt incredible power from it.

I would be able to play for a while with something like that.

That thing was good.

But, my legs wouldn’t move.

That was no good. She would be sad.

Such feeling of avoidance welled up inside……who was her?

A strange voice resounded inside my head.

A woman.

She was alone, standing in front of me.

I ignored the woman and walked.

「Hey, listen. Everyone is saved thanks to you Ork. That’s why, you don’t need to go anywhere!」

The woman followed behind me desperately. She continued to yell.

A tearful voice. For some reason other feeling than the heat was welling up when I heard that voice.

My legs stopped.

The woman touched my foot.

「You said it just now. You can win against that insect, but when you win you won’t be yourself anymore. Did you know that you will become like this Ork? Becoming a monster? Then, why did you use that kind of power!? Even though I told you that I hate harem, that I won’t go with you Ork if you don’t give up on making harem」

A cold drop of water hit my foot.

How could that be. Even though it was just a very small drop of water that couldn’t be compared with my size and heat.

There was no meaning to pour a cup of water on mountain fire.

And yet, that water’s coolness spread inside me and wouldn’t leave my brain. Just a single drop of water was taking away my heat.

The voice echoed again from inside me.

The small thing continued to speak with all her emotions.

She turned bright red and shed tears, and then…….

She screamed.

I recalled that name.

Hearing those words, Tita smiled even while she was still crying. And then…….

「Ork you idiot!」

She jumped at me, pushed me down, and kissed me.
