Greetings, for the first timer, nice to meet you. This is Doragon Tanishi aka Akagi Hirotaka.

The new series this time Incubus Banishment was my work that was  serialized as web novel while I hid my actual name. The pen name that I  used at that time was Doragon Tanishi. Actually I would have no problem  getting serialized with the name Doragon Tanishi too but……Incubus  Banishment has the same direction like Zecchou Jorei or Shimoseka, so  there’s no meaning at all in using a different name just for this one  isn’t it? And so I used my actual pen name. Besides thing got a little  bit complicated because of that but…….

If it’s like this then it would be better if I used the pen name  Akagi Hirotaka right from the start at the web novel but, actually this  Incubus Banishment is a work that I had no intention to serialize at all  at the start.

That too was started from me thinking to use upload site because I  thought of posting the sample of the current series I am writing 「Climax  Exorcism With a Single Thrust at the Encounter!」 and 「The Strongest  Female Masters Who are Trying to Make Me Rise in the World Are in  Bloodbath About the Way to Train Me」 at Kakuyomu. Before I actually  posted the sample with the pen name Akagi Hirotaka, I made a temporary  account Doragon Tanishi to confirm the way of using the site.

And naturally the best way to understand the way a site work is by  actually using it, so with that account I created the first and second  chapter of a story with title and plot that completely displayed my  tastes. That was the beginning of Incubus Banishment.

And so this work was actually, to be blunt I planned to erase it  together with the account several days after I uploaded it. Although I  was pleased with the character and the plot, I was already working with  two series, and I thought nobody would read it anyway when I uploaded  it.

But surprisingly, the uploaded first chapter got several followers.

There were more than 200,000 titles in the whole site. There was also  several hundred or several thousand titles that got uploaded per day.  And there were people who discovered this work among all those.  Furthermore they became follower in the hope of reading the continuation  of the story. When I imagined that, I couldn’t bring myself to erase  the account and decided that I’d at least continue writing until a good  place to end it.

But, as I continued writing like that, the number of followers also  kept increasing. Furthermore my attachment to the character also grew  stronger while writing, I kept getting more and more idea of dirty  jokes, and it became even more fun writing it. Like that I would use my  spare time and continued writing it in parallel with my already  serialized series. Like this in the end it managed to become novelized.

The words 「It’s thanks to everyone’s support」 are often written, but  Incubus Banishment is really a work that can come this far all thanks to  the fans without any exaggeration. Incubus Banishment absolutely  wouldn’t be able to progress to this point without the supports of  everyone in Kakuyomu, and I myself also wouldn’t notice 「Unexpectedly I  might be able to work in serializing this too along with my already  serialized titles……?」.

After working as novelist for nearly ten years, I believed that I had  understood just how important readers’ support was, but I felt even  more strongly just how important it was from Incubus Banishment’s case.

In Twitter, story about how you better support a work you like  properly with review and the like toward the publisher, author, or  official site before that work get cancelled but, that suggestion is  actually true huh…….

Now then, even with such support this work almost got banished for  real from Kakuyomu. To everyone involved with the serialization of such  work, my many thanks. Thank you very much for giving your best effort to  adjust and revise this radical work after Zecchou Jorei and Simoseka.

And then to kakao-sama who kindly took charge of this work’s  illustration. My deepest thanks for the numerous illustrations of  astonishing quality! Beautiful, cool, cute, and most of all erotic, you  have managed to draw out the charms of Incubus Banishment to an  unbelievable degree. I’m feeling nothing but gratitude to you. I shall  be even more diligent from here on so that this work won’t lose to the  illustrations’ power.

Now then, after knowing all those, what do you think about the first volume of Incubus Banishment?

It’s still unclear what will become of the second volume but, in  order to be able to see more wonderful illustrations of kakao-sama too,  I’ll be happy if everyone will also continue to give your supports from  here on.

Well then, I don’t know whether the next release will be Incubus  Banishment or Zeccho Jorei (Climax Exorcism) or Strongest Female  Teachers but, let’s meet again someday.
