2021-05-04 04:54:49 +0000 UTC11 years ago, Fred Johnson was a UN colonel (kind of a big deal). Now, he’s running a construction company with ties to the OPA. That’s as much of his story as we know at this point. Anderson Station was a mining outpost run by Earth but “staffed” by Belters. Naomi is a Belter, whose people are almost completely disenfranchised by Earth and Mars, but whose labor and resources are also critical to the solar system’s continued functioning. Naomi not trusting Fred Johnson is like a person from a third world country not trusting a US armed forces bigwig who drone bombed her countrymen but then converted to that third world’s freedom-fighting cause. She remembers that he’s the Butcher of Anderson Station, no matter who he’s trying to be now. Also, no spoiler to say that there’s no relation between Anderson Station and Anderson Dawes (Jared Harris). Just a naming coincidence.
