Seriously I was thinking the same thing about the gems!! He's super stingy and ALL about business, those gems are rare and very expensive! If he spent a few days hacking that stuff down, storing it somewhere, he could have just legit slow sold those and had a thriving business without any need for selling anything else or doing any of his other trips! Would have been smooth sailing. That's like finding a full gold mine and taking a handful lol
