Now for the fight with Gareth, that unfortunately was changed up quite a bit. To start with after Gareth showed up Fels used his smokescreen magic items to try to lose him and Welf volunteered to stay behind and have Mikoto go ahead with the Xenos. That is when Tsubaki showed up to help Welf, in the LN she helped him by being his eyes in the fog, she would point him to where the adventurers were and he would swing the blade to freeze them. With the 2 of them they managed to hold off Gareth and the others long enough. Also a bit of additional information that’s nice to know is that after Gareth was hit by Welfs final magic blade he compared the power of the magic to Riveria’s magic (Riveria is a Lvl 6 Magic User from Lokis Familia). Now as I explained before Bete managed to find Bell, Haruhime, and Wiene because of the mad dash he made through their encampment and so took off against orders to follow them, and that’s when we had the small confrontation between Haruhime and Bete before it was handed off to Aisha. However in the LN Bete scratched up Haruhime a bit with rocks he kicked but slightly acknowledged her when she kept getting back up.

To start out with what they changed, the stuff that happened between Tiona and Wiene from the LN, rather than it be a random kid it was Ruu a kid from Maria’s orphanage, we meet them in volume 8 but it was cut out from Season 2. Now just like last time when Wiene sees the building collapse she recalls when she saved the child from the boxes wondering if she should save him because if she does people will hurt her again but snaps into action because she knew Bell would save the kid no matter what and then a wing grows from her back again and she rushes towards Ruu and saves him from the falling rubble. After confirming he was ok she leaves as the adventurers chasing her they´re believing she was trying to attack him but the debris stopped her. Once Tiona easily caught up to her and was about to strike that she stopped herself saying she can’t do it. She then throws her weapon away saying “you saved that kid didn’t you”, she knew that because she saw the whole thing from a proper angle while the others saw from a different angle. She then told Wiene to leave, saying not everyone is stupidly kind hearted like her and as Wiene left Tiona says to herself “This must be how Argonaut felt” Next let me explain the reason Bell went to Haruhime fist and the events that happened after according to the LN. In the LN Bell knew he would never make it to Wiene in time from where he currently was so he asked Hestia where Haruhime was so he could get a Level boost from her. After receiving one he tore a straight line to where Wiene was but that also happened to have him cut through Loki Familias encampment which is why Bete found them, I’ll explain more on that later.
