Countries value resources & their own success above all else, so it makes sense that it was only a matter of time until other nations started to interfere with Japan's recon/assimilation of the "Special Region," because it is very much a contest of "whoever has the most resources wins" in the world of politics, which this swings heavily in Japan's favor... love how it's incorporated into a (unique) isekai story~

Sure, he's a dork and an otaku devoted to his hobbies over work, but he purposefully rode the line between insubordination and obedience to regulations just so the refugees wouldn't get abandoned, AND have a significantly higher chance at being welcomed onto the base.. He is definitely a "goddamn liar" in the words of Lieutenant Yanagida! XD

2021-08-06 04:37:48 +0000 UTCSure, I do understand your surprise at how quick an actual military base was constructed on Alnus Hill by the JSDF, it's a reasonable reaction, but I will say that Japanese infrastructure's nothing to scoff at... they are, in the simplest terms, crazily efficient about construction... if anyone's curious, search up videos/photos of them building "temporary roads" to circumvent areas for various reasons, then work fast to clear the original back for suitable use!

2021-08-06 04:26:03 +0000 UTC"Season 2," as you may know by now, is not an actual sequel season but rather the second cour, the second half of GATE that aired 2 or 3 full seasons of anime after the first half aired, and you will likely notice there's not much "time lag" inbetween 12 and 13 that would indicate a clear break... the first (and only) season of GATE is 24 total episodes sold together in Blu-ray/DVD combos. (I speak with confidence as I was confused back while this was airing and I was reviewing it myself~)
