If you read the schedule you know I had big plans to dive deep into the THEM! Retrospective today, but OMG, it turned out to be a colossal task -much more than I anticipated. So, instead of rushing through it and doing a disservice to the series, I decided to switch gears and take us on a little nostalgic journey instead.

While rummaging through some old HDDs, I stumbled upon my vintage creations from Taboo Studios - blast from the past, ten years ago! I unearthed two series that I think you’ll get a kick out of: 50 Shades of Black and 50 Shades Blacker.

Fair warning: The artwork reflects the tech limits of a decade ago (translation: it’s pretty rough), and the spelling might send grammar enthusiasts into a bit of a tailspin. But here’s the thing -These series laid the groundwork for what would evolve into the modern Blackmaled series. But honestly? The storytelling holds up really well.

So let’s have a laugh at the quaint old graphics and appreciate this super solid retro release. It’s a fun midweek throwback to how far we’ve come.
