Season 1 was such a delight (at the time of this comment, I have only seen S1, not S2 or the OVAs either) and I can understand 100% why this show's highly regarded and beloved by the anime community. It did manage to stay relevant while airing alongside a powerhouse show like Kill la Kill, so that says a lot about the storytelling & characters! I will say, if you didn't know, everything involving Rabo, a fellow god of calamity, was anime-original but I don't know if this caused a big stink back in 2014... for what it's worth, I definitely enjoyed the story beats around him, and I plan to read the manga as well (down the road), so it's a fun fact.

2021-06-05 04:05:46 +0000 UTCMight I just say, this series (Noragami) has so much going for it, from the music & voice acting, to the storytelling beats and comedy mixed darker themes... yet the characters are easily the biggest highlights, from how Yato & Kofuku behave, to the mean softie that is Daikoku... but Hiyori's the one above them all, for me personally, as she is just an absolute delight to watch for every scenes. Hiyori's downright adorable, hilarious, sweet beyond belief, caring without limits, and a real spotlight stealer if I say so myself... hell, she didn't have her memories and still acted to save Yato/Yukine from a watery grave without a second thought! I know you, Mr. Riku, don't enjoy the aspect of shipping characters all that much, but damn it, I enjoy the Yato x Hiyori dynamic so much just from Season 1 alone lol

I mean, yeah, I am so happy you went straight into Season 2 instead, as a lot of others must feel the same, but damn it, I still want to see your reactions to the next 11 episodes of RnY since you only posted an Episode 1 reaction back in 2015 before copyright hit your channel hard and you went dark for a good while!
