So you're telling me that in SAO and AFO, in the source material, they touch upon the mental stress of Kirito while the anime didn't? If so, that eliminates a big gripe I had with the anime.

2019-04-19 03:34:41 +0000 UTCSo one thing that Alicization, and some of S2, tackle about Kirito is the mental stress/strain he's endured since the SAO incident. If this was a 100% adaptation rate, then even in S1, we'd have seen more into Kirito's head and his state after being trapped and traumatized. So they did skip out a tad on his traumatized, mentally scarred state in the anime, but it's been showing itself more and more
