Okay so I am anime-only, as you know, but unless I was completely fooled, turns out the Dororo manga's actually quite short and nowhere near as indepth with some characters as the anime. So Studio MAPPA has been providing anime-only scenes, tweaking characters and their backstories, and more to improve upon the source material. Like Jukai, his character was supposedly way less fleshed out in the source material. So mad props to MAPPA for doing great work with this series, and it's surprisingly how well Dororo manga fans have welcomed these changes!
