One anime trope I love so goddamn much is the "never underestimate the elderly" cliche where old men/women appear fragile and irrelevant, when they're actually very competent, skilled, smart, or very buff... examples of note are: Master Roshi, Bleach 1st Division Captain, Kaseki from Dr. Stone, etc
