8/10. Great anime. Sure, a bit cheezy at times but it seemed to be self aware about that. Loved all of the characters in the end. Singer girl could have used more screentime and development other than what she got in ep 4, but what can you do with a 12 ep story. This was a sleeper hit for 2019.

I agree that the characters really drove this series. I can say the same for Kimetsu no Yaiba, but I definitely loved the mystery aspects of the series too. I'd give it a 8.5/10 also and wish more people would check this one out. It's a short story, so it's not like people will be losing too much if they don't like it. :)

I originally started watching this show on a whim because I thought the promotional artwork looked interesting. Now that the show's over I've got to say I'm glad I stuck around. A decently paced mystery/space-adventure/drama anime with a roster of colorful characters, witty banter, and serviceable soundtrack all packed into 12-episodes. And to top it all off, we even got a happy ending (Even if it's completely unrealistic haha)! I had a few gripes with the show, but none big enough to really affect my enjoyment. I will say though, that IMO, it's the characters NOT the drama that really carry this show. Towards episode 5 or 6 as the show fell into the pattern of having a dramatic cliffhanger reveal at the end of each episode, it started to feel like the writer wasn't confident in their story and felt like they wouldn't be able to keep people engaged unless there was a constant stream of huge revelations to drive the story forward. With that said, the drama was handled fairly well and was wrapped up nicely in the last few episodes. The characters were what really stuck out to me and kept me watching. Most of them were well written and fleshed out, and felt like real people you could meet out on the street. But with such a big cast, it's inevitable that not every character would be able to receive the same amount of screen time and development (ex. Yunhua, Polina, even Funi and Luca to an extent). Still, they were all likeable and well-written and were what made the show for me. TLDR; great show, give it a watch it'll surprise you. 8.5/10 from me!
