Epic moment for Canute!

Only by the words of man (and a sneak attack from Atli) did Beast Bjorn fall, even with the blood upon his hands and the countless deaths he's caused, mushrooms could not stop the Berserker from trembling & backing away from Prince Canute's determined glare, from his compassionate words that reached the human inside the Beast!

Conversations about religion, or hell, even love itself, especially when it comes to embodying it or defining the concept itself, are always.... interesting to engage in, regardless of whatever medium brought it up... we may not always agree or disagree with what was said but it still gets the audience thinking about it, though that can spiral out of control and lead to arguments & such when another's ideals conflict your own beliefs...

Let's see... - Thorkell vs Thorfinn Rematch - Berserker Bjorn - Actual Character Development for Canute - WIT Studio Art & Animation Flexing - Best Girl Thorkell Defending Thorfinn's Honor ...So yeah, with how utterly stacked this episode was, it's easy for me to claim it as (one of) the absolute best that Vinland Saga has offered thus far! So cool to see all the action and bloodshed! ^~^

Yeah it felt pretty off. LOL

The love convo is a wonky one, mostly because they're using the word 'love' to refer to different things. The ancient Greeks (who had a strong influence on ancient Christianity) had different words to refer to different forms of love. The priest bothers people cause he's talking about 'agape', the unconditional love God has towards humanity. Everyone around them says they see love (like the brotherly love Askeladd's two stooges have for each other or the familial love Ragnar had for Canute). The priest thinks Agape is the highest form of love and is in despair cause he sees no proof of it anywhere Pre-modern Christianity was also just generally weird with a bunch of cult-y ideas splinting off from it
