Yeah. There is no doubt he is the best written in the show right now. I would say Canute is 2nd, but he hasn't had enough screen time nor characterization yet. What little he has been given has been enough for me to consider him a potential 2nd best written. I dig him forsaking his God.

2019-12-16 22:47:09 +0000 UTCAskelaad flexed on Thorfinn like Hulk flexed on Loki lmao. Bout time too. I've been getting sick of how 1-note and edgy Thorfinn's character is. It's been 22 episodes and he hasn't grown or developed at all, though I hear he gets much better as the story progresses. I'd much rather just watch Canute and co. than follow Thorfinn as he is now. Also, Askelaad is BY FAR the best written character in this show. Everything about him is so interesting and "intimate". He feels like a real person who's suffered and carries the weight of what he's seen with him at all times. Wonder what the people who were screeching for his death after Ep 4 think of him now.
