Added 2020-03-14 15:38:41 +0000 UTCWelp, Gentle is cool. I had a feeling there was a reason for him being this way and we got confirmation in this episode. I have a feeling Gentle might show up in the future..maybe to help Deku since he and La Brava should get a lesser sentence due to Gentle's actions at the end there. Wonder how these last few episodes will play out.

2020-03-18 14:01:00 +0000 UTCI'd say that Deku's comment about Gentle being "harder to fight than anyone else" might refer to the utility and control of his Elasticity Quirk as well as the fact that he's essentially fighting a kindred spirit, someone whose just like him but went down a different path, so he's sorta fighting his own resolve in a sense and that makes it harder to punch/kick said opponent than fighting someone whose desire is to kill, steal, assault, etc... it ain't easy to deal with those like you after all.

2020-03-17 09:28:03 +0000 UTCDeku the "Heroic Villain" overcomes the obstacle known as "Gentle the Villainous Hero" in his attempt to carve his name into history~! Can we all just appreciate how this lil' arc sorta painted Deku, an aspiring hero, as the "Villain" because we all sympathized so much with everything that Gentle & La Brava have undergone throughout their lives... we rooted for these "Underdogs" despite they'd be committing a crime... that just goes to showcase the level of quality writing that Horikoshi can create, even for a one-off arc antagonist! :D

2020-03-17 09:03:01 +0000 UTCSo now that everything's revealed within the anime, I can mention that Gentle Criminal's easily one of my absolute favorite characters from MHA, and he's also high up there in villains for me as well... Mostly because of his backstory & motivations, but also just from him being so damn enjoyable with his mannerisms, tastes, and style of crime... a pleasant breathe of fresh air in MHA compared to all prior villains, not to downplay them whatsoever, but Gentle's just that memorable from the series!
