Bye Bean...

I delivered Bean to Ronie's and wanted to share it with patrons first. It will go live on my channel in two days...

Thank you to everyone who helped make taking Bean on possible. I look forward to sharing my next project bird's journey with you all and hopefully having your help deciding on the next one. xo

Bye Bean...

This is super random and off topic a bit, but I've just gone back and rewatched all the Bean videos. Can I ask what kind of bird that is you were doing the in-home consult for? The black and green one with the yellow on it? It's at the 11:30 time stamp

HallyuGirl

That would be heartbreaking 🥲 you are a stronger woman than me cause I couldn’t do it. I was crying watching this video. This is why I could never have pet babies of any kind, I would not be able to give them to anyone. I get way too attached. So glad he’s found a wonderful forever home with your help of course. Totally love what you guys do for these animals.

Tammy Tomasini

Watching your first day with bean, made me involve my grey (rehome) in the household straight away. He bonded with me immediately and we already have a great relationship. He loves communicating with me and will use words I teach him in a matter of days. He also has a ‘pet’ bird in his cage 😂 I had to separate one of my zebra finches from the rest as it was disrupting the flock and bullying his dad, by picking his leg. He chose my greys cage as his new home in the bird room (like Blueberry, he can easily fit through the bars) which my grey is totally fine with. My grey spends most his time outside the cage anyway, he’s usually on top or with me. His cage door is never closed, but he does get his food in there.

Kristine Vinberg Siiger

I cried like a baby! I know he is in his best home!!!!!!

Patricia Lynn

I saw a Ronnie's for the love of Birds post on Instagram that Bean is happily in his new home. We've been promised an update.

Gale Rhoades

I'd like to see another talker. Not saying you should do a Stormy again, but Amazons are quite entertaining when they open up and let it rattle. I could see a whole lot of post filming commentary happening... Lol

Tasha

I agree. I hate when men can just hit that nail on the head some days. 😉😉🤫 🥺😭=New 🐦 Lol!

Tasha

I cried all the way through and I’ve never even met Bean. Of course you would get attached to him and it would be hard to surrender him under those circumstances. But to hear that they already have people who want to adopt him is awesome 🥰

Carmen Griggs

Oh, Bean's shaking and Dave's imitation of Bean going "I'm so glad I found you, I've never found so much trust in one human being" would've made me turn around right away 😂 That's what you get for playing with my feelings, another parrot 🤣 I'd love to see a Senegal as a project bird. They can be quite agressive but also the sweetest little buggers!

Lynn De Pourcq

I can appreciate that this would be a tough process. It's great to hear that Bean is adjusting well at the rescue, and I'm encouraged to hear that he's got folks ready to meet him!

Jenny Pollard

Sometimes I just have to hope and pray that what I did in the amount of time I had was enough. xo

BirdTricks

We will be posting video updates of him this month and hopefully Dave will catch up in his editing of Sunny's story.

BirdTricks

I was wondering what is going on with Sunny!

Laura J Wilcox

Nice job Jamie! I will miss Bean... How do you determine when your project birds are ready for there new home? I would like to see you take on an aggressive bird....

DENA FRITZ

Bean is such a great little dude. He's going to have a great life with his forever family.

Holden Kendrick

I'd love to see you take on a bird that would have a really hard time being adopted like a small bird that isn't tame and isn't a baby anymore, or an aggressive, plucked, cage bound bird. A really "hopeless" case.

Holden Kendrick

Thanks Jen!

BirdTricks

Thank you Kelly!

BirdTricks

Awe thanks Jen. xo

BirdTricks

Oh and Senegal would be a great size! "Blueberry sleeps in my mom and dad's room, she flies in there around 5-6pm because it is the quietest room in the house and she likes the tree in there by the window. But sometimes we find her in my room in her cage because we leave the door open. She doesn't use any cage covers except on her travel cage when we take it outside so she doesn't feel cold air or wind when we are traveling." -Capri

BirdTricks

I do think older birds can be trained. It just takes a little more patience and understanding so you can listen to what it is they need.

BirdTricks

We tend not to let Blueberry socialize too closely with the other birds. For the most part they have no idea she's around until she takes off in flight, haha. Blue's fav snacks include anything you have deemed edible. lol

BirdTricks

Bye Bean, hope you have a happy life 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

Maria Carlson

Was sad! I hope Bean gets as much love and kindness as he got from you guys. Would love to see his forever family/home.

Shelah Moore

Bye, Bean! You are the sweetest! 😭. I’m not surprised Bean is one of Capri’s favourites. His love of physical affection was just too cute! For the next project bird, would love to see a small parrot like a conure. Can you imagine the sunnies adding a new friend to their group and showing this conure the ropes?! I would also like to see a parrotlet, they can be quite aggressive since they are such huge personalities in tiny bodies (a tiny Amazon as they say).

Rosanna Lam

💜💜💜💜

Beckie Child

I cried almost the whole way through.😭😭😭😭But I know that you gave Bean a huge gift to help heal much of his trauma and to set him up for success in a forever home. Much love to you and your family.

Beckie Child

Bye Mr. Bean! ❤

Zaira Lupidi

Bye Bean. You’re already off to an awesome start because of Jamie, Capri and Dave. Hopefully you’re forever people keep up the good work that they started for you and maybe one day you’ll come back to free fly with Jamie. That would be great to see. I’d love to see a cockatiel as a project bird.

Sherry mathes

Good luck Sir Bean and thank you Jaime for helping him.

Chris Mallabon

Nice story with a very nice bird! Good luck, Bean! About the future project bird... it would be very interesting to see how you will work with an agressive bird

Julia Khorolskaya

Thank you for showing us this, Jamie. I teared up I little. I can’t wait to hear about Bean’s adoption.

Crystal O'Kelly

So bittersweet! He’s such an amazing guy and because of you he’s going to have a happy and amazing life! 💙

Jennifer Percopo

Awwe this made me cry because as I told you I recently went through a similar experience. I still miss her. You are a rockstar taking in these birds. I don't know if my heart could take it!!❤❤❤

Wendy Cottingham

I’m so happy to be able to do tiny little bit to help you with your project birds but saying that I will miss bean he was lovely and so happy in the end, and I’ve got to say, saying good bye brought tears to my eyes but I hope he find a loving forever home as he will only grow with the fabulous start you have given him bye bean be happy 😃😢

Sallianne

This is what makes y'all great. If it didn't hurt, if it didn't affect you in some way, you'd know you weren't putting your all into it. There's a piece of you that goes with every one of these project birds and every time a piece breaks off it regrows stronger with a bit more knowledge packed inside. Again, y'all rock! Thanks for who you are!!

Kelly Sanchez

I love being able to support your project bird work. To see Bean's transition from always fearful to absolutely confident is so satisfying. I look forward to seeing who you choose for your next challenge/project bird.

Jen Perry

♥ Bye Bean. I understand the bittersweet heartbreak. Thanks for helping another parrot find a home

Sierra Dorpinghaus

Oh I did shed a few tears... loved Bean and thank you for being such a blessing in his life. I hope his new home also stay in touch with you! Capri- you have a lovely presentation style! Please tell us about where Blueberry sleeps. Does she need a quiet place or just a cloth over her cage? I'd like to know how you get her to chill. Next project bird- I'm hoping you will chose a Senegal or Conure.

Gina Zeelie

Oh I almost cried, when you brought Bean to the rescue. Hopefully he will find a well educated forever home. 🤞🍀 I would love to see you guys work with a cockatiel. I think I have ever only once seen a video where you interact with a cockatiel and that already got me all excited, since I have a cockatiel. Also I wanted to ask if you think a 39 year old African grey can still be trained. I visited a woman recently who has an African grey that age and he seems to be so aggressiv (scared?) all the time, that he almost does not leave his cage. 😕 She said she took him in expecting him to die already some years ago and that he would have dementia and forget to eat his food. I didn't know what to think about that. 😕

Lucia Hellerhoff

I'm so happy to hear that Bean already has folks lined up to give him a forever home and all the love in the world. It's so amazing to watch the rehabilitation and training process from day one. To Capri: Blueberry is so adorable! Is there anyone else in the flock that she likes to pal around with? Also, what are some of her favorite snacks? We had a wonderful little yellow budgie named Pixel and he was convinced he was an Indian Ringneck: he loved spending time right next to our 2 IRNs, which made us pretty nervous for a while! He had a big bird personality in his tee-tiny body. Shout-out to the budgies! <3

Rachel Karfit

Oh no... I'll miss him ☹️

Andreia Sousa

Aww, I teared up a bit.. 😅 Hope this sweet Bean finds a good forever home. ❤️

daudur
