DIY Feather Ornaments
Added 2020-12-12 19:00:00 +0000 UTCHey guys! I was looking for a fun Christmas-themed craft Capri and I could do together and I found the simplest one!
Check it out here. I ordered all I needed from Amazon. It's just twine, hot glue and these little wooden rings plus the feathers!
See the video for how ours turned out. We made enough for Capri to give one as a Christmas gift to each of her schoolmates.

just an idea, you could make your own hoops with those embroidery hoops, just use cardstock as wide as the hoop, about three to five times the length of the inner diameter, put glue on one side of the cardstock, then wrap it around the inner hoop, glue side out, fasten with the outer hoop until it is set. should be strong enough to stay in form and you could use colored cardstock to match the feathers. ciao Ralf

2020-12-12 20:20:08 +0000 UTCThese are so pretty! I used to save all of my cockatiel's tail feathers in a vase. Now that he's gone I'm so glad that I have the vase full of his lovely feathers. My pionus has such a short tail. A vase won't work. I love how the shorter feathers look in the rings! You've given me some ideas for a wall hanging or shadow box! Thanks!
