Should live streams have set topics?

Moving into 2021 I want to make sure I'm constantly evolving with what you guys want! It was a suggestion to make live streams have specific topics. Let me know if you like that idea moving forward as a change in 2021 or if you prefer them to be random.

What Maddy Williams said. She nailed exactly what I was thinking. As well, my only concern with having pre-set topics is that some people may be less likely to join the conversation thinking that it doesn't apply to them. I'm always surprised with how much I learn from the topics I at first think don't apply to me (the ol' shuddup and listen and you just might learn something!). Any way you do it, I'll do my best to attend!

Yes, they save to IG TV on the birdtrickslive Instagram.

I never catch them. Can they be watched later?

I think it would be good to have a broad theme for each livestream, BUT to not be too rigid about it and to let the conversation change organically. I've learned so much during livestreams from others' questions that I wouldn't have thought to ask myself! Basically my two cents is that there is value in having a structured conversation but to allow it to evolve if interesting, unrelated questions are raised.

Kendra how's a good point, I think it would be a little bit tricky to stay on top, but you guys are really good at what you do and it can be very focused so I think my vote would still be one day one and one day the other.

I voted for one of each, although I have yet to join in on a live stream. I take care for my Mom who has Dementia so days can be unpredictable. But I want to work harder to catch them live. 😊 I agree with Tasha whole heartedly. πŸ’–

Girl, I watch your stuff cuz you know your shit and you're awesome! I love the character of your videos! Just keep doing your thing!

Tasha

Also, I think it's great that you are asking for this end of year feedback. I had an old boss who liked to say that "feedback is a gift".

I think topics are great but its fun to be able to ask you about life and how its going. (Maybe you don't like that?😏) But it was fun hearing a little about you and Dave and where you are from etc.. I also think it would be fun to ask you about your specific birds. Like one week have Jinx and we can ask you questions about him and his quirks. Or I guess that is something we can do for the Q&A.

I voted for having a topic. That said, I would still appreciate some of the time to be spent on random chat. Maybe break up the conversation into two parts? Deliver a topic and have a discussion on that, then random news and quick questions/comments. I didn't vote for the one session topic + one session random because I thought that it would be difficult to keep things on topic with the listener questions coming in. I know that I personally would have a hard time staying on topic if I had people asking me about unrelated things. Of course that's probably why nobody ever asks me to do any public speaking...lol
