You've all been asking me for this product!!
Added 2020-12-28 17:00:00 +0000 UTCOne of the top questions I get asked about is how do my bird's feathers look so VIBRANT? So colorful? So healthy? Of course, diet plays one of the largest roles in feather condition. Sunlight is another one that can't be faked, but this product has been a huge player in the condition of my bird's feathers. It's literally nature's feather conditioner. And skin... and... all the things. IT'S SO GOOD.
Finally - the aloe spray I have been using on my birds for years is available to YOU! Now, guys, we need your help in the design for this product. I want your help perfecting it!
We started with these clear labels but what happened with these is:
1. The artwork lost its color vibrancy which is a bummer because the product results is literally about creating vibrancy back into your bird's feathers! So this bummed us out.
2. I sent them out to my entire customer service team to try out, and two of them had the ink fade away from humidity either from being kept in the shower area or just in an area of the house.
So I am including a SECOND LABEL on your bottles (yes, one on each side of your bottle for comparison!) when you order so you can compare the clear one to the "die cut" one which, since printed on white, comes out a lot more vibrant.
However, I'm still feeling "back to the drawing board" on this so all ideas are welcome. I will be updating you guys with design modifications as I go.
I also want to create a FAQ about our aloe spray so if there's anything we did not answer clearly enough, please ask so we can continue to fill in any holes in the information we provide!

The cool thing about this new bottle is the design can be printed onto the bottle instead of using a sticky label which would look so much nicer. I love the little bath tub idea! You can also spray some wheat grass and let them bathe themselves against that too. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! You can also spray the mist upwards so it falls down more lightly over your bird too for a lighter mist.

2021-01-10 14:31:49 +0000 UTCI used this today and I will say I love the product just not crazy for the spray bottle. I used pretty much the whole bottle. I can already tell such a difference in my little parrotlets feet and beak. I filled their little bath tub because they hate to be sprayed, I need to work in it, but they loved it!! My other two that love to be sprayed like the mist to be finer then the bottle would do. There was such a difference in their feathers immediately which I loved seeing!! I am going to buy a few more now!

2021-01-09 21:44:35 +0000 UTCThat’s a legit thing on the bottle - with COVID we are struggling getting much variety in supplies at all so that’s a real challenge - and getting them in any timely manner has been hard too. But I’ll consider this and try to look back at our options for sure. We also have plans to release other products in this line that you wouldn’t fully bathe your bird in but lightly do a few mists and that’s it so that’s another reason we had chosen this bottle. But I like the continuous sprayer idea. Thanks for the feedback!!

2021-01-07 00:18:20 +0000 UTCI received it yesterday and used it for the first time today. My bird is noticeably less itchy today! He's still a tot, just 7 months old, so his feathers were already in good condition. It will be nice to keep them in top shape, but even more to stop the endless scratching. It was an immediate improvement. I don't think I've seen him scratch once today. I didn't like the bottle though. I wish it was the continuous sprayer type that mists and doesn't make a pump noise. My bird didn't like the spray bottle at all. I know I can train him to accept it, but I don't think he would have even noticed a continuous sprayer bottle.

The better plan would be to soak the bird down with water first and finish off with the spray. That way the aloe will stay on the bird and get onto the skin very easily. If they were to do it the other way they’d be washing off the aloe with the fresh water follow up."

2020-12-30 03:15:37 +0000 UTCI'm super excited, I just ordered mine. I have a question too, can I use half of the aloe bottle per fill so I can make it last longer. As that one spray bottle would be used in one session with my birds. Or also, could I use the aloe spray maybe for half the spray session and use a separate water bottle with it. So they get wet with water first and I could finish them off with the aloe spray? Just wanting to extend the aloe as much as I can and yet still be effective. Thanks

Shelf life: 6 months (I go through an entire spray bottle in one bath for all my birds sooooo I've never tested having aloe this long lol! But 6 months is the shelf life.) Yes there will be an expiration date on it when we send it to you. There will be just pure refills available without the spray bottle itself eventually but for this initial launch we wanted everyone to have the same starter kit. 💖 How our aloe compares to others is all in the quality of ingredients like everything else we do! We feel 100% about the quality of aloe we are using.

2020-12-29 14:51:35 +0000 UTCThis is a great question. I would have to dig up some old pics of Tusa but he goes through a yearly molt that makes him just look soooo ROUGH. Every year, in the spring usually, I freak out and tell Patty he is plucking and he looks like he went to hell and back and I'm losing my mind over it and every year she tells me "he's just going through a really rough molt, remember last year?" but he will look patchy and have little white flakes all over. I always take lots of pics and send them to her but I'm not sure I could find them at this point.

I've considered renaming him to Itchy Scratchy. He LOVES to bathe in the shower. I've never tried a sprayer but I can probably get him to accept it if he's on his shower perch.

PS: What are the symptoms of dry skin? Is it more feather dust than normal? Since they are covered in feathers, I would think it would be hard tell at a casual glance.

Such as something like six drops to 1 gallon, or if you use your specific spray bottle is there a line to fill to, then add water. I can’t wait to use this on my two tiels!!

2020-12-28 19:08:35 +0000 UTCI’m a dog groomer. I use a shampoo with aloe in with on my clients that have dry skin. Some dogs it works amazing and as long if they keep up with bathing at least every six weeks. But some dogs it doesn’t do much for them. I’ve never had a dog have a bad reaction to it. I’d imagine you can use this product on dogs safely.
