2021-05-09 18:04:25 +0000 UTCBathing parrots are the most adorable creatures! I could swear that I heard Widget say her name several times at around 1:18. She really loves her baths! My pionus loves to take a shower too. He whistles and squeals with delight. He likes for me to put the shower handheld on full strength and run it next to his shower perch. He dips his beak into the stream and cleans out his sinuses. I've never seen a bird do that before. I'm not allowed to move the stream of water until he makes himself sneeze a couple of times. At first I was worried he would drown himself but he seems to know what he's doing. As much as he likes to sing and chatter in the shower, it's still serious business to him. My favorite move of his is when he sticks his tail up in the air to wash his backside.

2021-05-08 20:24:14 +0000 UTCMine does this all the time on me when he’s wet. He looks like a whittle drowned skittle chicken and I think they’re some of the most adorable all wet like this. But I’m definitely biased so there’s that. Monty sings soooo much in the bathroom especially during showers. He also pins his eyes sometimes, especially when I go to ask him to step up. When he pins I usually take that as a no. Maybe he really does enjoy singing with the water and he’s not wanting to bite me? 🤷🏼♀️
