Of all the critters I've had down through the years, with the exception of my desert tortoise, no one reminded me more of a dinosaur then my female eclectus. I always wished I would have called her "Dinah".

Diet conversion wasn't going well, and I came up with the idea to par-boil a sweet potato and then I froze it. Every time I make a batch of food, I use a grater and grate it into the food. Just enough to make it tasty, but not enough to be a major component of the food. I also did this with beet-
