Another awesome video and by the way I do watch them to the end. I get a little negative information out of each question. Thanks. I enjoyed it

OK, was I the only one that noticed the camera going back and forth? I felt like I was getting sea sick. LOL But, of course, you're always worth it. Love the content, thank you.

Thank you so much! This was really helpful (as always). My only feed back is not sure what is up with the camera panning back and forth. It made me feel like you're on a boat.

Wait I missed that you have a vet that is an expert, they might be able to trim your birds nails by himself, most vets are experts in finding the quick in many species. Might need to towel them or hold them but it should be okay. You can also inform them on the strategy you have for nail trimming when you do do it yourself if you feel like it’s needed.

I think you might be able to shape a nail filing on que and do that trick few times a day for one nail at a time for days until the nail is responsibly trimmed, they might be more willing to do it and it might be safer.

The best Vet locally most of the vet nurses are way too scared to handle them safely, so I end up restraining them myself. That microchip was a fun one… Not ideal but I'd rather do it myself then have an injured parrot or vet nurse. The Vet I have is fantastic though, works at a Zoo nearby occasionally with native parrots and birds of prey, he just doesn't have the Zoo handlers that help him at his private practice. By the way when I do trim their nails no restraining or anything, female rolls on her back and lets me do max two nails per a day willingly... a good 4 day adventure for her nails. And yeah, only do them when they get to sharp, flaky or grow weird, which is at most every 6 months but more like every 10 months for a small clip.

Had a feeling you wouldn't trim your own parrots’ nails considering the amount you have and the access to avian vets, I don't have much choice in the matter, nearest certified avian vet is 4 and a half hours away… ah Australia. Had to ask anyway in case you did do it yourself.
