GOOD NEWS!!

Mine got really mushy from accidentally overcooking the legumes. Oops. I like the idea of adding some oats.

PsyFi40

If it's slimy that usually means it went bad somehow or you added something (an ingredient) that you shouldn't have (fruit, corn, sweet potato? eggs?) maybe you can try rinsing it and seeing if that makes the slime go away, add in some oats to absorb the extra moisture. Then use ground flax seed when you thaw the smaller portions. Hope that works!

I recently rescued a cockateil and by following your training methods and diet, I'm getting great response from her. She will now step up for millet also. Today I could walk around with her on my fingers and even stroked her head and under her wings. I do have a question tho. I recently made a big batch of chop. But this chop is really wet and slimy feeling. Should I even try and freeze it out could I bake it. I'm on disability and buying all organic and fresh greens and veggies took a lot of my budget so I don't want to waste it. 😒

I did not keep him in a cage, I kept him out on playstands and foraging trees.

BirdTricks

Wondering why you would put him in a sleeper cage in stead of his cage that I assume he is in most of the day?

DENA FRITZ

Cage coverings are different because you’re making their every day hang out space nesty and dark and they can gain access to the cover. In this backpack, it has stainless steel mesh making it impossible for him to ruin and it’s not acting as his cage.

BirdTricks

Yay Clyde! Out of curiosity, what makes the sleeper cage OK when obviously you don't advocate cage coverings? I'm not familiar with that sleeper cage so I was curious if maybe it's less opaque from the inside than it looks.
