BirdTricks Tuesday - Your Submissions!

When I watched the video, I though it was maybe leftovers of a treat and the bird was annoyed there was not more? But, now that I see the owners response, I understand that.

My Macaw does the same exact thing, and bigger beak means harder pressure even when just "playing", and I soooo appreciate the reminder from Dave & Jamie to have an activity in mind BEFORE I take her out of her cage, and not just take her out and "hang out" too awfully long, so that she gets bored and looks for activities to do that are not behaviors I want! I so appreciate you all! And LUV the new format for Tuesday Body Language! =)

It kinda looks like the conure is like “ooo what’s this” “is this edible” “pet me” “never mind” “hey what’s that” lol

Just wanted to say thanks for answering my video. So it was Cheddar and I on the 10 second video that had no context. Haha just to clarify 1.) Wasn't a scab or a fresh wound- I think it was dirt? 😂😂😂 2.) She just bites like that when she hasn't seen me like for a whole day or so.. like she seems annoyed with me being gone maybe. But after 5 min or so of playing she chills and stops. (She doesn't get stuck in a cage when I'm not home because my family knows her schedule and her free time so they follow it.) 3.) I think you're right about distracting her- so I'll have something/some sort of bribe when I've been gone longer than usual (wearing my treat pouch before she sees me.) 4.) Thanks for the reminder of treating these as bites even when they don't hurt me before it even escalates. Anyway, thank you so much! Sorry I forgot to add context😂 when I sent it.
