Few years ago my rescue African Grey used to be territorial and naughty nesty and fearful when he was around his cage from, so when he was out on a play stand the cage was eliminated from the environment, I remove it to a different room. It was so successful that I kept on doing it, I find that generally I get better behavior of him when the cage is out of sight.
