I've thought that too about his vision.

heehee~! clyde so poofy during his shower! xD 💛 i've noticed before (can't remember if i said something...); clyde seems to have a lot of trouble targeting on his left side. i wonder if he has vision trouble on that side?

I'm sort of thinking of calling him Guy... ;O)

I wonder if organic rice puffed rice can be an alternative treat instead of cheerios! They’re so similar

Anne thank you for posting the salt problem with feather loss. My cockatiel Emma (recent rescue only on Finch seed and cheerios) made me look at the salt serving in plain Cheerios. I continued using cheerios only as a training tool because she responds so willingly to it. But there's 190mg of salt in 140 pieces serving. Wow, way too much salt! (Throwing out the cheerios I have left!) That's even too much salt for me and I'm not a little bird! She started losing feathers also, but I just thought it was her molt. It might be both! but no more cheerios for her..

I feel like unfortunately people don’t really know how other species can react to salt, and other humanly liked components. My family used to feed Chako Bamba (Israeli snack, it’s a cheese puff that is coated with salty peanut butter instead of that cheesy coat) as snack for about 22ish years, people feed junk to their birds if they conclude the “main ingredients” are safe, people don’t realize that what they eat (might even be organic and healthy for us) also contains stuff that other species can suffer with, junky flavoring. Humans actually can benefit from eating salt in moderation, but other animals can’t necessarily process it as much as we do. I feel you I feel like most parrot owners have done this mistake at least many times in the past.

In the old days before we knew better we used to give Roman pieces of granola bars for treats. One morning when we went into feed him he had lost a BIG ton of feathers! Our vet looked at him and told us there is a lot of salt in the bars we were feeding him and that excess salt can cause feather loss.

It helps us set up for takes with cameras lol so we can set the focus without having to stand there

Lols so out of topic but I couldn’t pretend I didn’t notice that mannequin head behind you, whats their name?? 😂 Are you working on a desensitization course?
