Kinda funny how a budgie got hormonal over a cockatiel 😂 my budgies (a male and female) used to be super hormonal with each other and mated (thankfully no eggs! 😅) but once I got them off of seeds the female hasn’t had any hormonal behavior at all! The male still seems to get a little chattier and tries to regurgitate for her occasionally, but it has never effected my relationship with them.

It just isn’t fair and Berry’s quality of life would go down under those permanent circumstances and it’s really unfair to her so I’d accept that my home wasn’t an ideal one for the new bird because of that and seek a rehome.
