Jinx and Ava accidentally met... eeeeek!!!

So this happened.

PS - SORRY for the confusing/duplicate posts on the Ava series. I originally had this series scheduled one way for being pre-release content, then I switched it up and decided the Ava series would not go out on YouTube as other project birds have (Clyde the cockatiel will be the last public project bird is my current thought process on that...) and so it changed the timeline but obviously I didn't get all the videos scheduled correctly for deleting duplicates. Sorry about that, guys!

Also for the Bluee series, I had to go in and edit a bunch of them, delete and re-upload which broke all the links to scheduled posts so thanks to those of you just going straight to the BirdTricks Kids channel to watch those! I will get them fixed for future posts.

Love this! I really want to give my birds outdoor time. I hope to get them used to travel cages to fulfill this. My budgie Biden will start off very quick to eat treats but when he's fuller he'll take ages and I know to slow down or stop for a while.

This was a great video. That's interesting about Blueberry eating slow on purpose. Maybe she learned it observing Fennel when you were training her. It's funny that my Hahn's macaw Oscar is the opposite. He will store treats under his tongue so he can do the next trick and earn more treats. I've caught him "dumping" out his treat reserve to leisurely eat when he's back in his cage. He's like a little pelican! 😂

I really enjoyed seeing this vet experience! I would love to see how your vet handles your macaws!

Jamie! Can you do a cage setup 101 for different cage/aviary sizes? I would like to learn more on how to maintain a cage set up so birds are happy, less hormonal, and the caging space is utilized efficiently? (Any tips on how to manage moving rotating toys and perches around regularly with smaller spaces, While keeping it spacious and engaging for the bird?) I see your trailer cages for the macaws are the same size of my African Grey’s Cage, it seems like you managed creating a nice space in there! I love your cage rotation theory, but I can’t really afford and maintain two cages right now, nor do I have any spare space for bigger set up (though hopefully one day I will, it is a dream goal of mine), I wonder if there’s a way to reduce hormones by refreshing the cage set up!

Out of strictly bird question, did you all find that trailer with the air conditioning or did you have it built to suit? I am looking for one like that.

Loved this video! Can’t wait for part 2. Also-the “Womach Bird Bus” was hysterical.

Ali Stergas

Wow!plus the storage space too, amazing!

I can fit 4 macaws (I have four large cages), I have 3 medium cages originally for Bandit, Bondi and Cressi and then I have a quad set up for small birds with four different areas… so that one can fit 4 small birds or more if they can be housed together (like my conures).

This was super interesting! Bondi... oh my goodness ADORABLE!! I'm sure they love seeing your birds!! Thanks for sharing this!!❤️

I am so jealous you guys have such amazing vets, our vet is about a hour drive from us but they’re not as advanced in avian medicine as your vets are, I feel like you guys are so fortunate ti have such great veterinarian care. I feel like our local Avian Community is really behind, that might be ungrateful of me to say that but I wish people were more advanced around here, I bet the do what they know is the best and educate their clients about what they think is the best, yet some of the trends they advocate for feels kind of outdated to me and they are completely clueless about some of the popular current international Avian trends (like diet, natural nutrition, dietary testing, annual blood testing, disease screening, daily bathing, natural toys) I feel silly with my 100% natural home feeding and DIY destroyable toys, it is either uncommon or not accessible in here. I really hope our local vets motivation to keep evolving their practices will grow, it seems like some people are really holding on tightly to the life changing practices they discovered a long time ago.

Just got finished watching the actual video. Jinx was so good! Long may it continue. And it’s so good that your birds were so calm about everything. Just curious, what’s the maximum capacity of your bird trailer? It’s amazing. Just a quick edit to add, the video thumbnail is super cute, although I know it didn’t really look like that.

Stephanie Edwards

Thanks, Stephanie! And yeah, I just went through too many reschedules and got things all sorts of mixed up. I wasn't originally posting the Bluee series here on Patreon since it's public on YT but people weren't seeing it or being reminded so had asked for me to post them here serving as that reminder. So that's all those posts are... reminders that the series is live over there and allowing people to comment like you said. Capri is so bummed her channel doesn't allow comments so it's nice for me to read the comments here for her.

BirdTricks

I had a feeling you were experiencing technical issues with both series, so, although I’ve commented on the most recent reuploaded of Ava’s fourth video, I haven’t let it bother me, and I hope no one is being overly harsh about it. With regards to the Bluee series, you can’t comment on YouTube kids, so at least on here we can comment. I’ve generally ended up watching it on YouTube first, but having it duplicated hasn’t bothered me.
