I couldn't hold them off any longer...
Meet Icee, a 4 year old female blue eyed Lucy x Mojave ball python... who was in need of a home because her previous home was down sizing.
I kept trying to convince Dave and Capri not to buy a baby snake, but to adopt an older one that was full grown and in need of a home and when Icee came up we knew she would be the perfect fit (even if she came 1/2 a year earlier than planned).
She's super sweet and that's what really mattered to me (haha). The only thing we really know about her past is that she has always been kind and that she got out once and got herself caught on a screw which opened her entire belly up and all her insides fell out. She had to be glued back together and made an amazing recovery from it so she has a pretty gnarly scar on her belly to remember it by.
We are really excited to learn more about how to give her the best care ever and she has already been a ton of fun. So any enrichment ideas are welcome and links are highly encouraged!
We are already planning on building her an enrichment wall and a friend of mine said she can also use the tree stands for enrichment too so that's been happening as well. I also saw some stuff online about putting various light stuff like plastic balls and packing peanuts in bins for them to rummage around in. Snake enrichment looks really fun...
