One thing I discovered lately is that biologically, vegetables are any part of the plant that isn’t an of a fruit flower or seed of a plantof a plant (leaves, roots, shoots and stems), the fruit is a pouch for seeds that grows at the last stages of the flower lifecycle. Grains, berries, tree fruits and vegetable fruits are all fruits, and some edible flowers contains nectar which is sweet but not necessarily sugar packed. It is hella confusing when people say “this species needs more fruit in their diet” they practically mean there’s a need for more sugar content or nectar content in their diet- you can get creative with including healthier fruit and/or edible flowers, hang a bouquet of homegrown freshly cut edible flowers in their aviary to forage and shred, use fruit as snacks when a bird is being casually good (if it is your birds fave you can even cut them to treat size piece and train with them!) there are so many ways to include certain ingredients in a parrot’s diet than just using them in meals, it makes it much more fun!

Hi! The correct word is hypervitaMINOsis, not hypervitaminTosis.
