Kind of like “The Bachelor” for bird lovers. Can’t wait until the next episode. Will Ava get the 🌹?? One can only hope. 🤣🤣

Kimberly Carr

So cute! A bit nesty, but very cute!

I’m also excited for Capri to take on a new project bird! 🔥💜💙💕

What a wonderful moment to have with your birds and the girls. I can see where Ava prefers you over Capri. And I also wonder if Jinx’ being there made Ava jealous. I realize it’s officially spring now, but the weather hasn’t recognized the calendar quite yet. Could Jinx be starting hormone season, now? I live in Portland, the cherry trees have blossomed, and we may be getting snow in Portland in April. You will eventually get our weather. That’s what I mean by the weather not recognizing the calendar for people who live in warmer climates.

Oh goodness what a lovely video. I love this so much. Thank you for sharing this intimate moment. Capri! We are all rooting for you to take on a new project bird! You're just the right girl for the job. Edit: we're really hoping that Capri will take on a cockatiel!

I'm curious how Ava is with Comet and Tusa?? To me she seems a little more confident with Jinx then Jinx is with her. Both my female birds seem far more jealous of other birds. I think it looks like they will be great training buddies and will probably fly together great. I just don't think it would be a dynamic that you would want to have hang out sessions like this a lot, which is sad but I think she could become pushy for your attention. It was so fun to see but you can tell she is really attached to you and would be one that would be more jealous of Jinx then Dave.🤣 My parrotlets for example the male is can be aggressive to my husband where my female is fine with my husband but will attack any of my other birds who come near me. I have to keep her totally seperate.

Omg I'm just gushing over how sweet that was! So squishy and fluffy and wing floppy wittle babies! And Ava squaking at Capri is hilarious!

Wow! That was so cool to see! I’m surprised on how long it lasted without them becoming agressive especially with them being so bonded to you. Side note: I was happy to hear Capri say she was interested in a new project bird. I hope she’s healing little by little. 💞

Both of them trying to nest down in your lap together seemed like a clear sign of them getting a little too friendly. It's interesting that they seemed to want to include you in their interlude. Maybe it was confusion with both being bonded with you but also having natural attraction to each other. I wonder if you'll end up with the same problem with Jinx being aggressive towards Comet and Tusa, but for different reasons. Like, "Stay away from my lady friend!" Do you have cameras setup in the quarantine aviary? I'd be interested to see how they are interacting with each other from different cages, if at all. I thought this was also a good body language lesson on when appropriate "head only" cuddles can still trigger hormonal behavior.

This was so awesome to see! I am curious if Ava was acting nesty wanting to be in your lap and at the lowest point rather than on your knee too? Or am i reading too much into things?

Khellendros05

I am excited for you. I am glad that they are starting to “become friends”. I hope that this relationship that Jinx builds with Ava does transfer over to Comet and Tussa so that you have the balance in the flock again.

i'm not any kind of expert... but perhaps it was just a case of "getting familiar with the new neighbors" ? maybe Jinx and Ava just needed a little time to figure out what their relationship was going to be.
