Is the BT Podcast coming back?!

This is great! Also maybe some personal experience with each species. But I'd also love to hear about species they haven't worked with but may know about (like Senegals)

Tips and things to look out for/ keep in mind when getting a bird from a breeder, or when adopting a bird from a rescue would be great! And maybe an episode on each species of parrot - why they do or don't make good pets, "personality" traits of species (like do they speak more clearly or do they tend to learn more vocabulary etc), notable animals of that species (like Alex the African grey) etc. I feel like it's be a fun an engaging way for listeners to get more info about a species they may be interested in adopting!

I have a young bird (6mo old) and since I got her (2mo ago) I've been wondering about the difference between exploratory biting vs. aggressive biting. I know she uses her beak to explore everything and she's never struck out and bitten me for example when asking for step up, but sometimes her bites hurt, and can exploratory biting become aggressive?

Em D

P.S I had Dave in mind for this one hahaha

I’ve presented it a list of clear questions and statements and got interesting results in minutes of conversation. all the time I spent into looking for accurate information on the internet over the past 3 years and than crossing it with more resources was condensed into 15 minutes of discussion (I am exaggerating but it was precisely it), I was pleasantly surprised impressed.

How to help a clipped bird to fly . I’m getting a baby CAG and the bird store owner refuses to not do a “light clip “ after fledging . I wrote a two page letter explaining why it’s so important to not clip, even a light clip . I offered to pay extra , to sign a wavier of liability release, praying he changes his mind. Not thinking he will . My poor baby will be clipped and what can I do to help him to keep his confidence and keep him safe while he’s clipped and what exercises can I do to help him to fly again.

Revist some of the original topics. I'm sure you have learned a lot more since then

Holden Kendrick

How to help your birds be confident when left alone. Every bird I have had has retreated to their favorite high perch when left alone. They don't eat, much less play. One wouldn't even drink water.

Holden Kendrick

And how to pick a good breeder when adopting a baby bird.

Holden Kendrick

This one 🤩

Tell us more about your birds — like, three questions: what is their favorite food(s)/treat; what is their favorite toy or activity (or what do they spend the most time doing, other than sleeping?); what human type job would they be the best at? I sense that Berry would be a good journalist: always flying around, checking what everyone is doing, taste testing all the things, monitoring video calls, being a little pushy but only as needed…

Appropriate fun things to do with your birds

Shawnee Felts

How to build a confident bird and decrease anxiety

Shawnee Felts

Okay this might not be for a podcast but maybe a video suggestion, but you should try chatting with Chat GPT about parrot care on video

I would even include bird patios in this one, many people don’t have the space for an outdoor aviary but they do have an extra window or a balcony

Guy Goldstein K

Maybe even include rescue and adoption in this one

Guy Goldstein K

Types of bird breeding and rearing methods and how to determine which is the type for you

Guy Goldstein K

3 must train tricks (if one could only train 3 tricks, what tricks would they be?)

Guy Goldstein K

Using time with birds efficiently

Guy Goldstein K

5 tips from Jamie and 5 tips from Dave , just list the things that are life changing for bird owners

Guy Goldstein K

DIY perches and stands

Guy Goldstein K

Smart technology and do you really need it? Can you do all the tricks many easily implement with smart homes manually?

Guy Goldstein K

Parrot Hygiene and habitat cleaning. important topic, lots of myths (people are towel drying their birds because they’re afraid of chills, and even buying expensive air drier equipment, too many extra steps for something that often needs a lot of desense work) , please do!

Guy Goldstein K

Maybe one about having/building outdoor aviaries, what to do and what to avoid.

Abby C

I'd love for you to share about birds sharing cages or birds that share a cage wall and how to prevent injury.

Dena Perry

Helpful methods you use when you have caregivers manage your flock while gone. ❤️
